About the Artist
The art of German artist Philip Wallisfurth blurs the boundaries between urban and contemporary art. Starting out as a street artist over 15 years ago with paste-ups and stencils on the streets of major German cities, the artist and his art have continued to evolve and develop their very own artistic language.
Philip Wallisfurth’s works are an aesthetic melange of colors, shapes and perfect craftsmanship. What has remained is the reference to urban space, which significantly shapes and inspires the artist’s paintings. In addition to works on canvas and installations in galleries, the artist works on a large scale in public spaces, whereby he is particularly known for his immersive spatial designs that incorporate architecture and urban space.
Philip Wallisfurth was born in Aachen in 1984. The artist lives and works in Berlin.
