Will Coles

Will Coles is an Australian sculptor and street artist whose work straddles the lines between Pop Art and conceptual art. He is known for his concrete sculptures of everyday objects, which he places in a completely new context by engraving words and messages onto them.

With dark humor and a healthy dose of irony, Coles questions consumer society, environmental destruction, and social issues. He has already placed thousands of his sculptures in public spaces across several continents—as small interventions in everyday life that surprise, provoke, and, above all, are meant to inspire reflection.
