GOLIF x Hamburg – Solo Show
We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming exhibition of the Austrian artist Golif, which will open with a vernissage on Thu. June 1, 2023 at our gallery. Entitled Golif – Hamburg, the exhibition will bring the works of the well-known Austrian artist to Germany for the first time in the form of an extensive solo exhibition of large-scale canvas works. On view will be exclusively new, yet unseen works by the Vienna-based artist.
The style of the artist Golif is memorable like no other. Using black paint, on a variety of mostly colored backgrounds, the Austrian-born artist paints expressive characters with dynamic brushstrokes reminiscent of graphic novels. The expression is gloomy and captivating at the same time – the figures mysterious and always originating from fiction.
With Golif we can welcome one of the most noteworthy Upcoming Artists from Austria for the first time in Hamburg.

In addition to the exhibition of canvas works in the gallery, the exhibition will also take place simultaneously in public space. For this purpose, a large-scale mural by the artist Golif will be created in the city in the run-up to the exhibition, starting at the end of May. The approximately 200 square meter mural on a prominent house wall in a central location will be inaugurated at the same time as the exhibition and will bring art to Hamburg permanently. Very soon we will reveal more and where exactly the artwork will be located. In any case, we are already looking forward to it!
