‚Kammerflimmern‘ Solo Exhibition by ADULTREMIX
We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming exhibition “Kammerflimmern” by the artist Adultremix. The solo exhibition invites visitors to enter the surreal world of the Cologne-based urban artist from 5 May and experience how boundaries blur and new things emerge.
The world is upside down and yet keeps on turning at the same time. This is the impression you might get if you pause for a moment and take a look at the social events that seem to be literally turning over, while at the same time everything is becoming normal.

The title “Kammerflimmern” for the exhibition was chosen quite intentionally. In the truest sense of the word, the works and the exhibition by Adultremix are part of our time, which is never still and yet feels as if it is on the edge of collapse. As if one could put one’s finger on the pulse of time, artistic interpretations of social events, influences, figures and pop-cultural symbols run like a thread through the works in Adultremix’s exhibition.
“Kammerflimmern” is the Cologne artist’s biggest and most extensive solo exhibition to date. A multitude of new works and installations can be seen. The conceptual development of the exhibition was supported by the German-American curator Yasha Young, one of the most well-known figures in the international urban art world and founding director of the Urban Nation Museum in Berlin.

About the artist: With his works, the German artist Adultremix creates a world all of his own – a newly collaged world(order) of pop-cultural symbols, images and signs of our time, which, as an artistic remix, may make you think, scare or even frighten you at first glance. The works of Adultremix are a visually aesthetic and at the same time substantive reflection of our society. For his works, Adultremix uses a unique painting technique. The “Fractual Pigment Painting” technique, which the artist has developed and refined over the years, gives the works of art their unmistakable character. The artist Adultremix works and lives in Cologne.
About the curator: Yasha Young is a German-American curator, author, journalist and gallerist. She developed and directed the Urban Nation project from 2013, which was the basis for the Urban Nation Museum for Urban Contemporary Art in Berlin, which she opened in September 2017. Yasha Young currently lives in New York and works worldwide as a curator and innovation manager in the field of art and culture.
